Land Trust Thanks Adrian Dominicans for Help in Acquiring Cooperative Property

San Francisco Community Land Trust (SFCLT) extended their appreciation lately to the Adrian Dominican Sisters for their low-interest, $30,000 loan. The loan enabled SFCLT to acquire a 10-unit house – before the previous owner could auction off the house – and maintain affordable housing for the low-income residents.

Washington Access Fund Thanks Adrian Dominicans for Support

An official from Washington Access Fund recently wrote to the Adrian Dominican Sisters, thanking the Congregation for its recent low-interest loan. This loan enabled the organization in turn to disburse nine smaller loans to help people with disabilities access the technology they need. Because of the loan, Kelly, 44, was able to buy hearing aids, which enable her to return to college and get her life back on track.

Burt Lauderdale, executive director of Kentuckians for the Commonwealth (KFTC), received an honorary degree of doctor of humane letters from Berea College during their recognition service for 56 graduating seniors.
